Even if some are way older than me, they have this kind of respect towards me that is really rare to find if you handling teens or kids trying to learn something quite difficult, like the guitar for example. Handling adults, and a few seniors is really a very good experience for me and I don’t have to stress further because they easily learn from me.

Aside from that, I also get to learn a lot things from my adult students. I just love spending time with them and I really look forward to each and every class that I’m handling. I would really prefer handling adults than those nosy little kids and spoiled brats that give up immediately at the first hind of difficulty. Dealing with that kind of scenario is really stressful, if you ask me.

As a taxi driver you need to be alert at all time. As a person that provides his service to the public you need to have a good for sense of hearing. As a public servant I went to the doctor one every month to check my body. The doctor performs also an online ear training test on me every time I went to him. After the thorough test by the doctor I went home and took some rest. In the morning I week up at four o’clock because I got to go to the airport to drive my costumer to his place because I’m a taxi driver. I know that I drive my taxi safely because I got my monthly check up by the doctor. My costumer paid me daily after they arrive to their destination. At seven in the night I took my rest and went home. When I reach home I give all the money to my wife for the expenses of the house.

The Music Scene in Philadelphia

In Philadelphia there’s a lot of bands. It’s not a music town per se, but it does have its share of bands. As large as the city of brotherly love is, it’s a shame that it’s not thriving musically. Record companies rarely look here for artists to sign. It’s unfortunate.

I think it’s because of the radio stations. In Philly we have only 2 rock stations. They play very generic Top 40 hard rock – a steady diet of Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zepplin, and AC DC is not really healthy for a music scene, especially when there are thousands of bands out in the marketplace.

I think the mainstream had it’s place before the internet. Now, with everyone able to listen to music on demand via bit torrents and peer to peer networks, their horizons have expanded. But, as long as radio in Philadelphia is as popular as it is, people are going to be less interested in changing and broadening their horizons.

Renting out for the Meantime

I feel like I have to retire my old violin. It has been through so much and is in fact quite a bad condition now after the recent hurricane caused some damage to our roof and drenched it even more. But I still had to continue practicing as I have an upcoming recital and competition that I needed to win in order to get some attention for a scholarship that I want in a certain music school. For the meantime, I asked my mom that I will be using this violin rental online as I know how expensive a real good brand violin will be and I am content to simply rent out one since I know this site called violinprice.com has good quality violins in there that I can sure use. That would have to settle this problem for now, and maybe after getting a new violin will I be able to really give it all for my practice.
